ELIXIRION doctoral candidate Danial Shafaie from BSC presented the paper "Hierarchical Edge-Cloud Task Offloading in NTN for Remote Healthcare", a research work carried out together with fellow doctoral candidate Xavier Alejandro Flores Cabezas from LU, at the 103rd IEEE Vehicular Technology Conference (VTC2026-Spring), held in Nice, France, from 9–12 June 2026.
The work was co-authored by Dr. Konstantinos Ntontin, Dr. Elli Kartsakli, and Prof. Symeon Chatzinotas, reflecting a collaborative research effort between the University of Luxembourg and the Barcelona Supercomputing Center.
